Case study Multi-year nationwide roll-out of time, attendance and rostering solution

A large and publicly-listed private sector provider in the aged care and retirement industry owned and operated 43 residential aged care facilities and five retirement complexes nationally, caring for around 4,000 residents.

The client was seeking to better utilise its network of medical and allied health staff nationwide by streamlining its time, attendance, rostering and payroll processing systems.

Pitcher Partners was appointed to establish a fully implemented Workforce Management System, including electronic time recording, to ensure accurate calculation of any overtime, loadings and penalties.

This complex, multifaceted project was successfully implemented. It significantly reduced the risk of paying incorrectly, automated processes, and allowed the financial benefit of this project.

Case study Payroll remediation alongside internal teams and governed by a regulatory body

A large residential aged care provider within Australia wanted to engage a firm to partner with its internal team to tackle a complex payroll and SG remediation program being governed by the Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO).

This project covered more than 10,000 employees across multiple awards and industrial instruments. The client had several previous unsuccessful attempts to manage this matter internally.

By leveraging Pitcher Partners payroll and data analytics expertise alongside internal IR/ER, legal and project resources, the client was able to fairly resolve and repay any underpayments of wages using Pitcher Partners’ data-driven models.

Pitcher Partners has also assisted with an assessment of pay codes set up in the payroll system for SG and tax accuracy as well as SG remediation calculations, mitigation of applicable penalties and lodgement of voluntary disclosure documentation with the ATO and other authorities.
