The Victorian Government has announced further land tax relief measures, comprising an increased 50% land tax discount for eligible landlords and a new 25% land tax discount for eligible owner-occupiers.
On Friday, the Treasurer issued amendments to the Coronavirus Economic Response Package (Payments and Benefits) Rules (the Rules) to give effect to the Government’s earlier announcement that it would extend the employee test date to 1 July 2020.
The superannuation guarantee amnesty gives employers the opportunity to review historical compliance with their superannuation guarantee (SG) obligations and rectify any underpayments or late payments for quarter(s) between 1 July 1992 to 31 March 2018. However, the concessions offered under the Amnesty are only available until 11:59 pm on 7 September 2020.
