Tim Nesbitt

Client Director, Melbourne

Tim joined Pitcher Partners in 2016 as a Client Director in the audit technical team. With 29 years of experience providing technical audit advice, Tim deeply understands the necessary professional standards and finds practical solutions to support client engagements. Excited about how new technology will shape the future of auditing, he’s keen to see how these developments can positively impact the work he and his team do for clients.

Tim participates in industry forums and regularly liaises with standard setters to keep his skills sharp. Additionally, he supports teams in their interactions with regulatory bodies including ASIC.

Tim is passionate about auditing standards, from developing them to training staff on how to apply them effectively. He enjoys working with global colleagues to create audit solutions and engaging training.

Tim’s practical experience extends from large ASX -listed clients to middle market businesses, as well as working with state and government bodies. Contributing to the Baker Tilly International (BTI) Global Methodology and ASA 600 group auditing standard has been a highlight of his time at Pitcher Partners.

Before joining Pitcher Partners, he played a key role in developing a Big 4 audit methodology and worked with the ANAO and NSW Auditor General’s Office on their projects, gaining diverse perspectives on the standards. He’s always keen to discuss how auditing standards can be developed and implemented, driven to provide the best outcome for clients.
