About Baker Tilly
Kylee Byrne

Kylee Byrne

Partner, Melbourne

Kylee is an expert in audit and assurance across a large range of industries, from small family-owned businesses to ASX-listed companies. She specialises in the not-for-profit sector, as well as retail, manufacturing, distribution, travel, property.

Over time, Kylee has developed strong expertise in governance and risk services, financial analysis and financial statement preparation. While statutory audit forms the core of her role, Kylee relishes the opportunity to use it as a way to analyse pain points, address industry challenges, chart a road to expansion or growth, and ultimately improve business.

Helping clients find and live their ‘why’ drives Kylee’s approach to business. She takes time to embed herself with clients so they feel comfortable sharing their concerns. With her direct yet approachable relationship style, Kylee immediately flags and discusses issues with clients as they arise, knowing that an honest conversation early on is the best way of resolving challenges. She presents with clarity to founders, owners, directors and boards, helping them get the most out of their audit.

Kylee has experience with both public and private ancillary funds and their specific requirements. She also audits both DGR Type 1 entities and DGR Type 2 entities, and has been an advisor to the Royal Flying Doctor Service Audit Committee for over a decade. She appreciates the insight this experience gives her from the ‘other side of the table’.

Kylee plays a lead role in driving high standards in the Pitcher Partners audit and assurance team. She is the Pitcher Partners Melbourne Technical Partner and oversees ongoing staff training. Her team’s advice is sought by colleagues locally and nationally. Kylee also sits on the Baker Tilly Professional Standards Committee and the Ethics and Independence Committee, and inputs into the association’s global audit methodology.

Joining Pitcher Partners Melbourne as a graduate in 1994, Kylee progressed to partner in 2007.
