Technology Assurance Senior Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Technology Assurance Senior Consultant to join our Technology Assurance & Advisory practice. This role is suited to someone who enjoys hands-on delivery, working directly with clients, and taking increasing ownership of IT audit engagements while developing towards a future Manager role.

You will work across a range of IT audit and technology advisory engagements, supporting both External Audit teams and Advisory services. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a diverse and interesting client base including ASX listed companies across a broad range of industry sectors including Mining, Technology, Financial Services, Property, Education, Health and Not for Profit. The top-quality client base and highly skilled team will ensure you are continually challenged.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver IT audit and technology risk engagements under the guidance of Managers and Directors.
  • Test and assess IT controls and technology‑enabled business processes, identifying risks and control gaps.
  • Gain an understanding of client systems and processes through walkthroughs and stakeholder interviews.
  • Prepare high‑quality audit documentation and contribute to clear, client‑ready reports.
  • Support external audit engagements by delivering IT audit procedures for financial statement audits.
  • Act as a day‑to‑day contact for clients, providing clear communication on audit progress, issues and outcomes.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients through reliable delivery and professional engagement.
  • Develop technical capability across core IT risk areas, including information security, access management, IT operations, change and resilience.
  • Support the use of data analytics and automated testing where appropriate.
  • Stay informed on emerging technology risks and regulatory developments.

  • You are trusted to run day-to-day aspects of engagements with minimal supervision.
  • Your workpapers and documentation require limited rework.
  • Clients see you as professional, reliable and technically capable.
  • You communicate clearly, confidently and appropriately with stakeholders.
  • You are building the skills and experience required for progression to Manager.

About You

  • Degree in IT, business or a related discipline.
  • CISA qualification completed or in progress (desirable).
  • 3–5 years’ experience in IT audit, technology risk or internal audit.
  • Sound understanding of IT controls, governance frameworks and information security.
  • Experience in a consulting or professional services environment is advantageous.
  • Exposure to data analytics is a plus.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines across concurrent engagements.
  • Detail‑oriented, analytical and curious, with a strong desire to learn and develop.
  • Confident communicator who is organised, dependable and proactive.
