Partners and staff deeply saddened by the passing of David Thomson
It is with deep sadness that we share the news of David Thomson’s passing on 25 May 2025. He passed peacefully, surrounded by family, following a short illness.
David has been with Pitcher Partners Melbourne and its predecessor firms for over 40 years. He was a founding staff member in 1991 and a Partner for nearly 30 years before retiring from the partnership just last year.
David was a remarkable presence in our lives and our workplace. Over the decades, he worked with so many of us and played a significant role in shaping the firm and influencing many of our Partners and our people, into who we are today.
He was a source of joy, inspiration, wisdom, humour, and unwavering support. His energy and spirit touched so many of us, and his legacy will be felt for years to come.
His warmth, leadership, and extraordinary contribution to our clients, our people, and the firm will be sorely missed.
