Data Engineering Consultant

Data Engineering Consultant

We’re looking for a Data Engineering Consultant to join our growing Technology Consulting team. This is a hands-on role focused on delivering modern data solutions across data engineering, analytics and emerging AI use cases. This is a data engineering-first role with exposure to AI, analytics and enterprise systems. You’ll work with experienced colleagues on client engagements, helping to build practical solutions that support better reporting, stronger data capability and more informed business decisions. This role is ideal for high-potential early-career candidates looking to build strong technical foundations while gaining real-world consulting and business exposure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design and development of data pipelines and data platforms, using tools and languages such as Python, SQL, C#, JavaScript or similar technologies, including contributions to data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows
  • Assist in building and maintaining data models, schemas, and integration processes, ensuring strong data quality, reliability, and performance
  • Work with structured datasets to support reporting, analytics, and AI/ML-enabled solutions, including assisting with deployment and integration
  • Collaborate with senior consultants and data specialists to deliver end-to-end data and analytics solutions across modern technology stacks
  • Develop an understanding of business processes (finance, operations, supply chain) and how they translate into scalable data models and analytical outputs
  • Develop data solution from ERP and enterprise systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Dynamics), with support provided to upskill where required
  • Support delivery across client engagements, contributing to requirements gathering, data analysis, and solution development with increasing ownership over time
  • Participate in stakeholder discussions and project planning, communicating technical concepts clearly while working closely with senior team members to deliver high-quality outcomes

About you

You’re adaptable, practical and keen to learn, with 13 years’ experience in data engineering, software engineering or analytics. You have working knowledge of Python and/or SQL, exposure to data processing or ETL workflows, and a foundational understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP. You work well with others, communicate clearly and take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

It would be beneficial if you also have exposure to enterprise systems or ERP platforms, experience using BI tools, or familiarity with modern data architectures. An interest in AI, advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making will also be well regarded but is not essential.
