
Dragan specialises in providing tax advisory services to private equity and venture capital investors focusing on transactions, fund-raising and compliance.
He primarily advises on mergers and acquisitions, fund structuring and fund formation for many of Australia’s private equity and venture capital funds, including advising on Managed Investment Trusts (MITs), Venture Capital Limited Partnerships (VCLPs) and Early Stage Venture Capital Limited Partnerships (ESVCLPs), as well as their investments. Additionally, Dragan advises high-growth companies on fund-raising, including guidance on the Early Stage Innovation Company (ESIC) tax incentive.
His experience includes working with clients in private equity, venture capital, technology, communications, entertainment, retail, consumer and industrial products, financial services, transport and commercial property sectors.
Before joining Pitcher Partners, Dragan founded a boutique tax advisory firm and was a partner at a Big-4 firm, where he led the private equity fund structuring, venture capital, and innovation tax practice. He also served as the Head of Policy and Research at the Australian Investment Council, overseeing the development and delivery of the Council’s policy and advocacy initiatives with federal and state governments across Australia.
Dragan joined Pitcher Partners Sydney in March 2025.
