Supervisor – Private Business & Family Advisory

Due to on-going growth, we currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and driven Supervisor or Manager to join our Private Business Family Advisory division.
The Role:
You will become a part of a fast-growing business unit with a broad range of high-net-worth clients from a number of industries and countries.
The Private Business Family Advisory team not only conducts the taxation and accounting needs of clients but provides unique advisory services and has a niche market reputation, providing unrivalled opportunities, and strong interaction with all other business units with the firm. We have a flat line management structure, providing easy access to multiple Partners, whilst working predominantly with the team management team.
The successful candidate will build on their existing personal tax advisory skills and deal directly with the team and partners to support high net worth family groups, many with international obligations. We work across a broad range of high-net-worth family groups from inherited wealth to private equity and fund managers building their own wealth and senior executives and board members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Being first point of contact for compliance matters for family groups and their other strategic advisors.
- Developing solid relationships with wealth advisors, bankers and lawyers that support our client base.
- Reviews financial statements, tax returns, activity statements, and other work prepared by offshore and graduates.
- Prepares more complex tax returns for family groups including how to report complex financial instruments and managing foreign exchange matters.
- Strong role model for juniors with an solid understanding of the importance of quality work papers for both compliance and advisory matters.
- Has the ability to analyse client data and provide financial insights and propose strategies to help manage, protect and enhance a client’s wealth.
Who we are after:

The candidate will have completed their CA/CPA program or a globally recognised post graduate tax qualification. Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in a chartered accounting firm or commercial business.

- Problem solving skills – you will be able to demonstrate the ability to “think outside the square”
- A confident demeanor and the ability to interface with clients, and earn their trust.
- Be inquisitive about personal financial strategies and produce both domestically and internationally.
- Strong interpersonal skills to mentor and train junior staff
- Strong attention to detail, without accepting mediocrity.

The salary range for this role is $95,000-$120,000 package (inclusive of superannuation).
