Technology Assurance Manager
We’re seeking a highly motivated, market-facing Technology Assurance Manager to join our growing Technology Assurance & Advisory practice within our thriving mid-tier accounting and advisory firm.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys winning work, building relationships, and establishing a personal brand in the market – while still delivering high-quality technology audit engagements. You’ll play a key role in business development, client engagement and the ongoing growth of the practice, alongside leading and delivering complex technology audit assignments.
Reporting to the Director of Technology Assurance & Advisory, you’ll work across External Audit support and broader Technology Audit (and Advisory) engagements. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a diverse and interesting client base including ASX listed companies across a broad range of industry sectors including Mining, Technology, Financial Services, Property, Education, Health and Not for Profit. The top-quality client base and highly skilled team will ensure you are continually challenged.
Key Responsibilities
IT Audit Delivery
- Lead end-to-end IT audit engagements, from planning through to reporting.
- Deliver audits across IT general controls, application controls and technology-enabled business processes.
- Assess and evaluate IT, financial and operational controls, identifying key risks and improvement opportunities.
- Produce clear, high-quality audit documentation and reports for management and Audit Committees.
- Communicate risks and recommendations in a practical, commercially focused way.
Client & Market Engagement
- Build strong relationships with clients and contribute to business development activities.
- Support proposals, tenders and new engagement opportunities in collaboration with senior leaders.
- Identify opportunities to expand services and grow client portfolios.
- Develop a visible profile in the IT audit and technology risk market.
People & Practice Development
- Mentor and develop Senior Consultants.
- Contribute to audit methodologies, tools and data analytics capability.
- Stay current with emerging technology risks, regulatory changes and industry trends, translating these into client value.
About You – Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in IT, business or a related field.
- CISA qualification (required); additional certifications are a plus.
- Solid experience in IT audit or technology risk, ideally in a consulting or professional services environment.
- Strong working knowledge of IT controls, technology risk and recognised audit frameworks.
- Exposure to data analytics in an audit or assurance context.
- Comfortable managing multiple engagements and priorities.
