About the role
Reporting to the People Leader within the team, the Senior Analyst plays a critical role in delivering high-quality business services to our external clients.
As a Senior Analyst, you will provide value-added support to a portfolio of high-net-worth clients and complex business groups. You will apply strong technical capability and commercial judgement across the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and activity statements for a diverse client base.
Additionally, you will contribute to the development and growth of the team by supporting, coaching, and mentoring junior staff as required.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for managing a client portfolio:
- Manage client work independently from start to finish, delivering high-quality outcomes with minimal review
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, identifying risks and issues early
- Apply strong technical knowledge and professional judgement, escalating matters when appropriate
- Contribute to workflow planning, time management, and meeting agreed deadlines
- Support and coach junior team members through feedback, knowledge sharing, and on-the-job guidance
- Actively participate in required training, post-job reviews, and firm initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency, and client outcomes
- Contribute to the firm’s growth through ideas, referrals, and involvement in firm activities
Who we are after
As the ideal candidate, you will be degree-qualified and CA-qualified or near to, familiar with accounting software including Xero and MYOB. With 4+ years of experience in a business advisory environment, you will:
- Be working on your ability to undertake various tax planning recommendations for clients
- Have the ability to prepare financial statements and tax returns for multiple and complex entities including various trusts and corporate entities
- Possess a positive and proactive approach to delivering superior support and commercial advice to clients
- Have strong numeracy and analytic skills with the ability to interpret and make sense of data
- Have strong time management skills with the ability to be agile with changing priorities and deadlines
- Possess the ability to act with integrity, honest and influence both internal and external stakeholders to build relationships
- Have sufficient written and oral communication skills
- Have the ability to work independently with people leaders and staff and begin working on your ability to coach, mentor and lead staff
