Due to on-going growth, we currently have a vacancy for
an enthusiastic and driven Senior Accountant to join our Private Business
Family Advisory division.
The Role
You will become a part of a fast-growing business unit
with a broad range of clients from a number of industries. The
Private Business Family Advisory team not only conducts the taxation
and accounting needs of clients but provides unique advisory services and
has a niche market reputation, providing unrivalled opportunities, and
strong interaction with all other business units with the firm. We have a
flat line management structure, providing easy access to multiple
Partners, whilst working predominantly for the team Manager.
The successful candidate will take the job from start to
finish and deal directly with clients. We work across a broad range of
clients including Private Companies and Trusts, High Net-Worth Individuals,
Family Offices and Small-to-Medium Enterprises (SME’s).
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviews financial
accounts, tax returns, business activity statements,
instalment activity statements and other work performed by
Intermediates, Graduates and Cadets who work on their clients - Solid understanding
of tax legislation and other research as they relate to the work
undertaken - Prepares complex
individual, company, trust, partnership tax returns with
limited supervision or direction - Detailed knowledge
of tax office correspondence and procedures (including
assessment, objections, etc) - Good working
knowledge of GST, Business Activity Statements and Instalment
Activity Statements - Prepares and
reviews workpapers, analysis of client data and transactions and
setting up accounts onto the accounting package in accordance with
present standards - Ability
to prepare and analyse tailored management reports for clients - Prepare draft
invoices to manager/partners at the end of an engagement
Who we are after
Here are the key qualifications, skills and personal
attributes we’re looking for. If you tick most of the boxes, but not all,

The candidate will ideally be in their final stages of
completing their CA program with 3-4 years of experience within a
business services division.
Experience within a family office or private banking or investment
organisation may also be beneficial.
We are particularly looking for:
- Reporting
skills – a comfort in attending to all types of corporate, trust and
individual accounting and taxation compliance of a simple to moderate
complexity, with minimal supervision. - Ideally
experience with or interest in family office and high net wealth
passive wealth clients - Ability
to build strong relationships - Problem
solving skills – you will be able to demonstrate the ability to
“think outside the square” - A
confident demeanour and the ability to interface with clients, and
earn their respect - Strong
attention to detail - An
entrepreneurial spirit

The salary range for this role is
$75,000-$95,000 package (inclusive of superannuation).
