About the role
Reporting to a Principal, the Manager plays a pivotal role within the firm, partnering close with clients and the internal team to create value and drive improvements for our clients by providing comprehensive advisory services.
In this client-facing leadership role, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing workflow delivery, and coaching, mentoring, and developing people within your team.
As a Manager, you will balance technical expertise, commercial judgement, and people leadership, contributing to both client success and the ongoing growth of the firm.
Key Responsibilities
As a Manager, you will:
- Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted advisor and consistent point of contact
- Deliver high-quality accounting, taxation, and advisory services
- Conduct thorough analyses and assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop tailored strategies to enhance clients’ financial and operational performance
- Oversee workflow planning and allocation across team members, ensuring quality, timeliness, and efficiency
- Coordinate lodgment programs and manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Review work prepared by team members, providing clear, constructive feedback
- Coach, mentor, and develop junior team members, supporting both technical capability and career progression.
- Build strong internal and external relationships that support collaboration, retention, and firm growth
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, knowledge sharing, and firm projects
Who we are after
You are degree-qualified and CA qualified, familiar with accounting software including Xero and MYOB.
With 4+ years leading and mentoring staff in a business advisory environment, you will:
· Have the ability to undertake various tax planning recommendations for clients
- Be able to prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for multiple and complex entities including various trusts and corporate entities.
- Possess a positive and proactive approach to delivering superior support and commercial advice to clients
- Have strong numeracy and analytic skills with the ability to interpret and make sense of data
- Possess strong time management skills with the ability to be agile with changing priorities and deadlines
- Have the experience to act with integrity, honest and influence both internal and external stakeholders to build relationships
- Have superior written and oral communication skills
- Have the ability to work independently with supervisors and staff and possess the ability to coach, mentor and lead staff.
