About Baker Tilly

2026 Graduate

We’re a leading network of independent Australian firms, working together to enable growth and ambition for our clients and our people.

When you join Pitcher Partners, you’re joining a team with heart. We support each other. We learn together. We’re deliberate about fostering relationships that nurture and empower every individual.

And we’re excited by what’s possible. We know some of the best new ideas come in the form of curious, talented people we haven’t met yet. Perhaps you’re one of them.

About the role

As a Graduate at Pitcher Partners, you’ll work closely within a collaborative team of accountants while gaining exposure across the firm through both professional and social connections.

During your first year, you will be supported through a structured graduate experience, including a Mentoring Principal, Manager and Buddy, ensuring you feel confident, supported, and genuinely embedded in our firm culture.

You’ll work alongside Principals and Team members who are experts in their fields. Being part of one of our highly skilled teams means you’ll be challenged, supported, and encouraged to grow, both technically and professionally.

You’ll also have access to ongoing training and development, the national graduate conference, and support to complete the Chartered Accountant (CA) Program.

What you’ll be doing day to day

  • Supporting Principals and Managers with real client work from the outset
  • Preparing financial statements, tax returns and working papers
  • Learning how to communicate professionally with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Attending meetings and developing your commercial and advisory skills
  • Building strong technical foundations while developing professional judgement

This role offers exposure to a diverse client base and meaningful work, not just ticking boxes.

  • Flexible working arrangements
  • 12 weeks paid parental leave
  • Community leave and a purchased leave program
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Firm-subsidized social club and events · Workplace giving initiatives, and more

Do work with a purpose

We put a lot of energy into developing meaningful relationships with our clients and each other. It results in a level of trust that creates surprising opportunities for our business and your career.

Bring your best ideas

We’re inspired by potential. We know there’s always a better way to do something. We foster an environment of openness. Great ideas can come from anywhere. It all starts with listening.

Who we’re after

We are looking for accounting graduates who are curious about business and keen to grow their careers with the firm, developing into trusted advisors to our clients.

You:

  • Are a recent or soon-to-be graduate with an accounting major
  • Have an interest in Private Business & Family Advisory, Tax or Audit
  • Are motivated to complete your CA qualification
  • Bring a positive, can-do attitude, and are willing to put your hand up, have a go, and step outside your comfort zone
  • With a track record of working in teams and an interest in self-development, you’re looking to improve yourself and are keen to work with a wide range of clients

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, an Australian Permanent Resident, or hold (or be able to independently obtain) a valid Australian work visa with full working rights.

What you’ll bring

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A foundational understanding of accounting principles
