Pitcher Partners continues to lead Top Advisers list

Pitcher Partners’ Sue Dahn is the first woman to take out the coveted financial advisors in Australia top rank. Sue joins last year’s winner, Pitcher Partners’ Charlie Viola and colleague Adam Stanley who are all positioned in the top five advisors nationally.

Sue Dahn, who consecutively features on the list, was thrilled to achieve the top spot.

The list, compiled for The Australian newspaper by US publication Barron’s, looks at key factors including assets, fees, professional credentials, client retention and quality of practice.

Ms Dahn said that it was a wonderful honour for herself and the firm to again receive this acknowledgement from the prestigious global financial institution of Barron’s.

“It is also a huge honour for Pitcher Partners nationally who now have three advisors in the top five of this list out of some 40,000 advisors in the country,” Ms Dahn said.

“There are not enough senior women in professional services, let alone financial services, and I hope this recognition is an encouragement for early career and mid-career women to pursue their interests in these extremely stimulating and rewarding careers that help many people and organisations achieve their goals.”

Ms Dahn said that her 21-year career at Pitcher Partners had enabled her to demonstrate how an independent, client-centric, fee-only business model for investment advisory could be successful for clients, staff and the service provider.

“Recent events in the industry have shown that advisors need to offer more than just a sound knowledge of their sector – clients want to know that they can trust you,” Ms Dahn said.

“Our approach at Pitcher Partners is to keep the client’s needs above all else – their goals are our goals, and we work together to deliver outstanding results.”

Every advisor reviewed by the survey answered more than 50 questions covering client assets, fees generated on assets, size of staff (relative to client list) professional credentials and a range of other key factors.
