Due
to on-going growth, we currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and driven
Supervisor or Manager
to join our Private Business Family Advisory division.
The
Role
You
will become a part of a fast-growing business unit with a broad range of
clients from a number of industries.
The Private Business Family Advisory team not only conducts the taxation and
accounting needs of clients but provides unique advisory services and has a
niche market reputation, providing unrivalled
opportunities, and strong interaction with all other business units with the
firm. We have a flat line management structure, providing easy access to
multiple Partners, whilst working predominantly with the team management team.
The successful candidate will build on their existing CFO advisory skills and
deal directly with the team and partners to support the finance function for
clients. We work across a broad range of clients including ASX-listed
companies, large private companies and Small-to-Medium Enterprises (SME’s).
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviews management accounts, payrolls, financial
statements, tax returns, activity statements, and other work performed by
Intermediates, Graduates and Cadets who work on their clients - Prepares more complex reporting packages and provides
accounting and systems support to clients and team - Prepares and reviews complex corporate tax returns and
fringe benefits tax returns with limited supervision or direction - Good understanding of payroll and state taxes
- Reviews work papers, analyses client data and provides
financial insights (including cashflow reports, budget to actuals etc) to
clients - Provides advice in relation to financial processes and
systems to clients with the assistance of more senior managers and
partners

The candidate will have completed their CA/CPA program and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a
similar role in a chartered accounting firm or commercial business.
We
are particularly looking for:
- Reporting skills – a comfort in attending to all types
of corporate, trust, accounting and taxation compliance of a simple to
moderate complexity, with minimal supervision. - Ability to build strong relationships
- Problem solving skills – you will be able to
demonstrate the ability to “think outside the square” - A confident demeanor and the ability to interface with
clients, and earn their respect - Strong interpersonal skills to mentor and train junior staff
- Strong attention to detail
- An entrepreneurial spirit
- Experience with a variety of accounting and payroll
systems would be highly regarded
Our

The
salary range for this role is $95,000-$120,000 package (inclusive of superannuation).
