Meet your team
Our Risk and Procurement Advisory practice assesses the activities and risks our clients face and finds ways to improve their business practices. As the facilitator of change at an organisational and business process level, the team makes a real difference to our clients by identifying their untapped potential and supporting continuous improvement. Key services offered by the team include procurement advice, probity, internal audit, risk management, IT governance and strategy, cyber security and fraud investigations.
About the role
The Senior IT Auditor will be responsible for leading the delivery of a range of IT audit engagements to help our clients better mitigate their technology risks and unlock greater value from their technology platforms and systems. These engagements will cover a range of IT domains such as IT general controls, cyber security, disaster recovery planning, IT service management and various other operational areas impacted by technology.
You will also play a key role in supporting the development of junior staff and assisting with activities responsible for the management and continued growth of our practice.
Key responsibilities
- Contributing to scoping activities to clearly define and agree the objectives, coverage and budgets for IT audit engagements
- Performing detailed audit procedures to assess the design and effectiveness of IT controls and their alignment with relevant policies, regulations and better practice
- Producing and presenting written audit reports to communicate identified issues, risks and improvement opportunities to key stakeholders
- Providing ad hoc advice to internal and external clients to assist them with the identification, assessment and mitigation of IT risks
- Assigning work to junior members of the team and reviewing their outputs to ensure these are delivered to a high standard
- Providing on-the-job training and coaching to junior staff to support their professional development
- Regularly monitoring staff work allocations, team productivity targets and helping with resourcing decisions
- Assisting with the development and presentation of proposals for new business development opportunities

Relevant tertiary qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Systems, Computer Science or similar tertiary qualification.
Current experience within IT Audit
Detailed knowledge of IT risks and controls across a range of domains such as IT general controls, cyber security, IT disaster recovery planning, IT service management, IT strategic planning and IT transformation/program delivery.
Positive team player
Ability to form strong relationships and work collaboratively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, to achieve great outcomes for clients.
