The Learning & Development team is a key part of the broader People Experience group. This dynamic, collaborative team is committed to delivering high-quality learning solutions that align with the needs of the firm and our people. The team partner closely with the firm’s practice groups, leveraging technology to enhance the learning experience and drive continuous improvement.

About the role

The Senior Advisor – Instructional Design is a specialist role within the Learning & Development team, responsible for delivering instructional design across various learning projects. This pivotal role helps shape the firm’s learning landscape, particularly as we pivot toward digital learning and content curation. The primary focus is on designing and developing digital learning solutions in collaboration with practice groups, ensuring the firm’s learning objectives are met.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver high-quality digital learning solutions and multimedia materials in collaboration with SMEs, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and engagement.
  • Apply agile methodologies to ensure timely and on-scope project completion, maintaining a focus on learning outcomes and content quality.
  • Implement and maintain evaluation frameworks and quality assurance processes to optimise digital content and ensure best-practice learning outcomes.
  • Manage the annual training schedule, providing regular reports on delivery and progress to inform future improvements.
  • Identify and address learning needs through assessments and collaboration with practice groups, developing tailored programs as required.
  • Oversee and update the firm’s LMS and SharePoint with relevant learning content, working closely with the Learning & Development Coordinator to manage eLearning resources.

Who we’re after

Here are the some of the key qualifications, skills and personal attributes we’re looking for. If you tick most of the boxes, but not all – that’s ok! We’d still love for you to apply.

  • Approximately 5 years’ experience as an Instructional Designer
  • Experience in designing and developing innovative, interactive blended learning programs and performance support materials.
  • Proficiency with Articulate 360, SCORM, HTML/CSS, and solving LMS issues.
  • Experience with animation, video, and audio development tools such as After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Vyond, and Premiere Pro.
  • Strong task and time management skills, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver projects according to deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to exercise sound judgement, and navigate arising challenges in line with firm values and strategic goals.
