Due to on-going growth we
currently have a vacancy for a enthusiastic and driven Senior Accountant to
join SMSF team in our Private Business Family Advisory division.

The Role

The successful candidate will play an important role in
attending to compliance services to our clients, for both the Private Clients
and Wealth Management teams, and supporting the SMSF advisers on advisory
services and other SMSF-based projects. This is a great opportunity to gain
exposure to both the accounting and wealth management aspects of our business..

Key Responsibilities:

You will maintain strong working relationships both with our
clients and with your colleagues across the wider Private Business Family
Advisory team, providing consultative advice and support to internal
and external stakeholders on a range of SMSF matters including:

  • Assist
    and support our offshore team with the preparation of SMSF Financial
    Statements, Annual Returns, and Member’s Statements including Trustee
    Minutes and Section 290-170 notices
  • Reviewing
    Financial Reports and assisting with queries on client work.
  • Data
    entry and processing within BGL360
  • Preparation
    and administration of SMSF BAS, IAS and PAYG Payment Summaries
  • Liaise
    with external auditors and other bodies such as the ATO and ASIC
  • Manages
    own workflow and can prioritise effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Support
    to our administration team with SMSF related documentation including
    Deeds, Pension commencement minutes, SMSF establishments and ATO related
    documents.
  • Provide
    support to the wider team with Superannuation queries and escalate any SIS
    compliance issues to assigned Manager / Client Director / Partner

Who we are after

Here are the key qualifications, skills and
personal attributes we’re looking for. If you tick most of the boxes, but not

We are particularly looking for:

  • CA
    qualified (or similar relevant qualification)
  • Ideally have 3-4 years’ experience within business services for an SMSF clients
  • High-level
    written and spoken communication skills with strong attention to detail in
    your work.
  • Ability
    to Problem Solve and provide solutions to the Leadership team as required
  • A
    confident manner and the ability to interface with clients and earn their
    respect
  • Ability
    to interpret financial data and respond to queries where required.
  • Experience
    in SMSF Software. We use BGL 360 however Class Super experience is also
    desirable.
  • Ability
    to multitask and respond to internal and external queries in a timely
    manner.

Our business is structured so that over the longer

The salary range for this role is $75,000-$95,000
package (inclusive of superannuation).
