About the team
The Corporate Finance team provide independent, well-informed advice to public and private sector clients at board level on business transactions and the valuation of business assets.
Work in this team is focused on assisting business owners in the process of structuring a merger or acquisition, carrying out a due diligence, or a valuation for a business sale, restructure, purchase price allocation, dispute or for financial reporting purposes.
The team also assists clients by developing customised financial models to support client investment decisions in relation to business projects and opportunities. This team also develops models that support clients budgeting, forecasting and the sourcing of debt finance.
About the role
The Financial Modelling Manager/Senior Manager leads the development of complex financial models to drive strategic decision-making and business growth. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, managing a team, fostering client relationships, and delivering high-quality solutions. You will also provides expert advice on industry trends and best practices, ensuring impactful outcomes for clients.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and review of financial models to support decisions making, business planning and forecasting. This includes ensuring that financial models are robust, accurate, and scalable, and meet the needs of various stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business objectives and providing strategic insights though financial modelling. Collaborate with senior leadership and clients to tailor solutions and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Manage, mentor and develop a team of junior and mid-level financial modellers. Provide training, guidance, and feedback to enhance the team’s technical and analytical capabilities while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Oversee the delivery of financial modelling projects, ensuring timely and high-quality completion within budget. This includes managing project timelines, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring all deliverables meet client expectations and internal standards.
- Support the development of the modelling service offering through continuous improvement of the service based on through technical knowledge of best practice modelling approaches and financial management.
Who we’re after

- Prior experience in modelling financial, economic or operational data
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practice modelling standards
- Strong analytical skills (supported by strong Excel skills) and commercial awareness
- CA, CFA, CPA or FINSIA would be highly regarded
