About the role

The Audit Manager is responsible for managing the audit engagement by defining the audit strategy with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters, in consultation with the Partner, and executing it in compliance with internal policies and protocols.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of audit engagements, coordinating and prioritising workflow management from planning to completion, ensuring work is allocated efficiently across the team, and team deliverables are completed and reviewed within agreed timeline.
  • Execute and deliver high quality audit work for Director/Partner review.
  • Contribute and support the development of the team through the continuous building and sharing of knowledge while also engaging in their ongoing personal career growth.
  • Apply a high-level understanding of technical and professional standards ensuring compliance with legal and ethical requirements.
  • Assist with non-audit engagements, including due diligence, other advisory services and support.

Who we’re after

  • CA/CPA Qualified with a minimum of 5 years within the chartered profession.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a large client portfolio.
  • Ability to build strong client relationships based on trust and reliability.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging, leading and coaching staff positively and effectively.
  • Possess a positive and proactive approach to delivering superior support and commercial advice to clients.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to be agile with changing priorities and deadlines.

The salary range for this role is $105,000-$125,000 package (inclusive of superannuation). This is based on level of experience.
