Due to
on-going growth, we currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and driven IT
Support Specialist to join our Practice Management Group.

The Role:

The IT
Support Specialist will support the effective operation, management, and
administration of the firm’s IT services. The core of the role continues to be
the IT support function, with the added ownership over an operational or
strategic set of tasks known as a specialisation.

Key
responsibilities:

  • First Point of Contact:Answering all support-based
    inquiries at the first point of contact where possible. This involves
    maintaining accurate and concise notes of the progress of Help
    Desk/Support requests 
  • Network and Peripheral
    Maintenance:
    Maintaining
    network peripherals as required and ensuring that workstations are
    installed and maintained according to established procedures and policies 
  • User Lifecycle:Administers user accounts
    covering the full lifecycle from setup for onboarding, changing
    permissions as roles change and removal of account and permissions as part
    of offboarding
  • Technical Assistance:Providing face-to-face support
    or support via Teams where practical, diagnosing and resolving technical
    hardware, software, and mobile issues, and advising users on appropriate
    actions 
  • Technical Proficiency: High level of proficiency in
    all Microsoft Office and Operating Systems. Understanding of IT software,
    IT network, and IT applications in use within the firm
  • Knowledge of IT Policies: Familiarity with IT policies,
    procedures, and practices is necessary to ensure compliance and effective
    IT management
  • Understanding of Security: Knowledge of security
    functionalities and applications is essential for maintaining the security
    of IT systems and data
  • Laptop inventory:Maintaining a list of all
    deployed laptops, as well as keeping all spare laptops imaged and up to
    date

You
will also see your self having the ownership of an area of specialisation where
you will act as the primary point of escalation and knowledge above and beyond
standard support, for queries related to the area of specialisation including
but not limited to:

  • manages updates and / or
    maintenance as applicable
  • maintains documentation and
    guides for common functions, troubleshooting and processes
  • coordinates training sessions to
    facilitate increased utilisation and / or upskill staff
  • communicates any issues or
    changes with key stakeholders

The specific
responsibilities for each specialisation will be documented, in consultation
with the IT Team Leader and IT Director, with all deliverables and metrics
identified.

What are
we looking for:

Ideally you
would have completed a degree in IT with 1-2 years’ experience in help desk.

  • Well-developed problem solving
    and analytical skills
  • Excellent customer service and
    communication skills
  • High level of proficiency in all
    MS and OS.
  • Knowledge of IT Policies,
    Procedures and Practices
  • Understanding of IT Software, IT
    Network and IT applications
  • Ability to work under pressure
    and to prioritise competing deadlines
  • Well-developed problem solving
    and analytical skills
  • Excellent customer service and
    communication skills
  • High quality work ethic with
    high attention to detail
  • Understanding of security
    functionalities and applications

The
salary range for this role is $65,000-$75,000 package (inclusive of
superannuation). This is based on level of experience.
