About the team
The Pitcher Partners Melbourne Finance team is a team of highly skilled professionals who offer a wide range of services to our external clients as well as to our internal staff and Partners.
About the role
This is role is responsible for supporting the Senior Finance Manager to develop, assist and implement an effective and professional Finance process for the firm. This includes both policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the reporting of weekly revenue against budget
- Assist in the preparation of the firms monthly accounting, including preparation of GL reconciliations, bank reconciliations, posting of disbursements and reporting
- Using our practice management systems, design, curate, interpret and provide proactive business insights to various stakeholders
- Prepare and post the weekly Concur file along with associated month end processes
- Collation and presentation of extensive information for Audits and Tax reporting (internal and external) as required
- Assist in making payments (domestic or international) and processing APS Adjustments as required
- Supporting the Finance + Admin team, to ensure adherence to firm policies and procedures
Who we’re after

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business or Accounting)
- CA/CPA qualified
- Experience within a similar role, ideally within a professional services firm
- Proficiency with Excel, Microsoft Office Suite and Accounting software
