About the team

The Pitcher Partners Melbourne Finance team is a team of highly skilled professionals who offer a wide range of services to our external clients as well as to our internal staff and Partners.

About the role

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analysing data, developing reports/ dashboards, generating insights, and supporting various departments with actionable information. This role requires hands-on experience with SQL, Power BI, and Excel, and a strong ability to translate data into meaningful information that drives decision-making.

Key responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and analyse large datasets from various sources
  • Develop and maintain Excel models, utilizing advanced functions and VBA for automation
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from databases
  • Create and manage interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide actionable insights
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of data used for analysis and reporting
  • Assist in identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests

Who we’re after

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Data Science, Computer Science)
  • Experience within a similar role, in either business intelligence or data analysis
  • Proficiency with Excel, including advanced functions (power query and VBA)
  • Experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation
