We are currently seeking a proactive and detail oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team in Brisbane on a part time basis (5 days a week). This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced professional services environment and takes pride in delivering accurate and efficient financial administration support.
About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable function while supporting broader finance activities across the firm. You will be responsible for processing payments, maintaining financial records and ensuring the accurate reconciliation of various accounts and transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices and manage accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and process regular payment runs and one-off payments
- Process client refunds and credit notes.
- Raise and manage trade creditor applications.
- Process employee reimbursements and firm disbursements.
- Reconcile company credit cards and investigate outstanding items.
- Manage and reconcile petty cash balances.
- Reconcile Cabcharge accounts and related expenses.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end finance activities and reconciliations.
- Provide operational support and backup assistance across the Finance team as required.
About you
We’re looking for someone early in their finance career who is eager to build on their Accounts Payable experience within a professional services environment. You are someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to ensure things run smoothly, values accuracy and takes pride in delivering great service to your stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Approximately 13 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable or Finance Administration role.
- A strong eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Experience processing invoices, payments and reconciliations.
- Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and exposure to accounting software.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and a desire to grow your career within a professional and supportive team.
