About the role
This is not your traditional bookkeeper role – you’ll coach clients, run training, and lead app integrations and workflow automation. You’ll see the difference your improvements make, fast.
As a Bookkeeper, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping clients modernise their finance operations. Working alongside our high-performing team, you will be supported to succeed and have access to innovative tools and a workplace culture that values your contribution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day financial operations for a range of clients using leading software (e.g., Xero, MYOB).
- Delivering client training sessions on best-practice workflows, app usage, and integrations; supporting onboarding to cloud tools and simple automations.
- Processing accounts payable/receivable, reconciling bank/credit card accounts, and preparing BAS, IAS, and Payroll Tax lodgements.
- Administering payroll in line with Fair Work and ATO requirements, including superannuation contributions.
- Assisting with monthly/quarterly management reporting, cash-flow monitoring, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Continuously improving processes and helping implement system upgrades across the bookkeeping function.
- Maintaining confidentiality and managing risk with sound governance principles—proactively surfacing potential exposures.
- Championing a culture of care, authenticity, collaboration, and opportunity.
About you
You’re a motivated professional with a passion for client success, strong communication skills, and a drive to make a meaningful impact. You thrive in collaborative environments and are ready to grow with a firm that values integrity, initiative, and innovation.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds – whether you’re just starting out or bring years of bookkeeping experience. What matters most is your attitude and approach. Along with a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping/Accounting (or equivalent experience), you:
- Have proven experience in bookkeeping within a professional services environment (preferably accounting practice).
- Are proficient in Xero, MYOB, or similar accounting software.
- Have strong attention to detail, with an appreciation of the importance of accuracy & quality control.
- Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaborate as part of a team.
- Are adaptable and embrace change and new ideas comfortably.
- Are passionate about training, technology, and process improvement.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit team and learn best practice in bookkeeping, client training, and cloud app integration.
