The Pitcher Partners’ culture is to care for our staff, our clients and our community.
As part of our commitment to the community, Pitcher Partners Sydney embarked on a search to find a charitable organisation that was aligned with our values, a charity that everyone in the firm could be involved in and one where we could see where we were helping to make a real difference.
We were delighted when we found a charity that was the “perfect fit” for us -
the Day of Difference Foundation.
The Day of Difference Foundation is a children's charity founded in November 2004 by the parents of Sophie Delezio who suffered unimaginable burns to 85% of her body in a terrible accident at her child care centre in Sydney. The Foundation's mission is to make a difference to the lives of critically injured kids and their families by supporting them on their journey from emergency to recovery.
The Day of Difference Foundation has a number of roles and is committed to:
- Raising funds for medical research into burns and skin technology
- Providing hospitals with equipment and facilities to save children’s lives
- Providing support services to critically injured children and their families
- Advocating for the safety of children to prevent injuries
- Educating the community on acceptance of children who are different
