Professional Background

As a Partner in the Private Clients team and a personal tax specialist with more than 20 years experience, Alison works with her clients to manage, enhance and protect their wealth for future generations. Her portfolio includes managing the affairs of CEOs, high net worth families, private equity executives, fund managers, financial industry specialists, professional services partners and private business owners.

Alison provides strategies for structuring and protecting wealth including establishing Trusts, personal investment companies and self-managed superannuation funds. She advises on the effective use of these vehicles to meet the long term needs of her clients. Alison's strong focus on forecasting enables clients to effectively manage their cash flow and proactively plan for future outcomes.

Specialising in managing the global tax affairs of internationally mobile executives and business owners, Alison has a strong understanding of the personal tax regime in overseas jurisdictions including United Kingdom, USA, Hong Kong, France and Singapore. She works with employers with globally mobile populations to ensure best practice, tax efficiency and compliance with the various regulatory bodies globally, including tax, social security and retirement planning for the employees.

Alison’s experience advising on effective estate, succession and retirement planning for families and business extends to international elements including the potential impact of UK inheritance tax on worldwide investments and advising on the tax implications of transferring foreign investments to Australia. Her goal is to ensure that the structure established provides her clients with not only tax effectiveness, but also the flexibility to help them meet their personal goals and objectives.

Alison has contributed to Smooth Road to Travel – China to Australia – A guide to navigating the Australian financial and migration landscape for Significant Investor Visa (SIV) applicants and those interested in investing in Australia.
