The International Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) is established by Pitcher Partners, a firm known nationally for its strategic insight and advisory services to middle market firms, not for profits and government agencies alike.

Our objective is specifically to accelerate entrepreneurial and innovative thinking within professional service firms and middle market clients.

Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (MEI)

Whether your goal is to inspire entrepreneurship and innovation, bring a different mind-set to your firm and clients, or to start a new venture; the Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (MEI) is designed to help you become a leader of entrepreneurial change.

The MEI addresses skill requirements common to organisations of middle market firms, local government, other professional service firms, schools and not for profits. You’ll meet a network of like-minded industry experienced professionals and learn the skills needed to bridge the gap between idea and execution.

Designed specifically to accelerate your ability to advise your clients as entrepreneurs; this postgraduate course is an opportunity not to be missed.

This is a full awards-based program, delivered by Swinburne University of Technology, by experienced faculty members in conjunction with industry representatives.

The MEI is made up of three discrete qualifications, with candidates able to complete one, two, or all three. The three qualifications are:

• Relevant course content: We combine traditional skills with innovative thinking, by taking a design-led approach to solving business problems and challenges. You’ll learn the fundamental requirements and specialist skills needed to lead and manage the process of innovation in a rapidly changing world. Each unit of study is applied and directly linked to industry, contemporary Australian case studies and relevant research.
• Significant industry engagement: Through strategic partnerships with industry, the course is designed to develop entrepreneurial leaders and innovative thinkers who are equipped to succeed. The professional service approach will build a network of like-minded creative and critical thinking entrepreneurial minds that you’ll rely upon for years to come.
• Experienced teaching staff: Learn from ‘pracademics’ – academics with significant professional industry experience. They bring up-to-date industry-relevant content to the classroom to enrich your ability as professionals.

Begin your studies at 15 William Street, Melbourne, whilst having access to the Swinburne Innovation Precinct, a hub for entrepreneurial activity and other incubators, integrating research, new business development and commercialisation. You’ll benefit from sharing an environment with other creative thinkers and commercial innovators.

The course is delivered entirely in block-mode. Each unit of study is taught one at a time, over Friday afternoons and evenings, as well as weekends, providing busy professionals with greater flexibility.

Candidates can enrol in the entire 12 subject course, or enrol in individual subjects.

Applicants with a recognised bachelor degree are eligible for admission to the Graduate Certificate of Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Applicants without a recognised bachelor degree may still apply by supplying details of at least three years’ working experience.
