Care Matters - September 2016

By admin - August 23, 2016

Welcome to the September 2016 edition of our Care Matters newsletter, which looks at issues relating to the healthcare industry in Australia.

Mergers vs Acquisitions – for a healthy business

The care sector is facing significant evolution and disruption from numerous influences resulting in changes that are challenging many businesses in regards to their ongoing strategy. In response to these influences many organisations are choosing to merge or strategically acquire other care businesses.

Efficiencies for healthcare operators with electronic rostering

It is no secret that managing resources in the Health Sector is a complex task. There is a need to address patient care and compliance needs with the right skills and mix of care professionals - this taking into account the preferences and constraints of individual staff members, and the complexities of juggling full time, part time, casuals and agency staff.

Cloud based accounting - taking medical practitioners to the next level

Over the last five years, we have facilitated the adoption of cloud based accounting software for many of our medical clients, particularly Medical Practitioners. As a result, the ability to access real time financial data, accessible anywhere, anytime on any device is now a reality.

Thin markets in the NDIS

Consumer Directed Care (CDC) in social services, such as aged care and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), is intended to provide the market with choice over what, how much, and where they receive their care. Providers who are servicing the market will naturally begin to offer services where they can achieve the greatest efficiencies. That is, services will be provided which attract a high volume of clients, or where the needs of clients can be met while maintaining low overhead costs.
